Registration for the upcoming Quindaro symposium is now open

Registration for the Quindaro Symposium, Strength Through Numbers, the Intersection of Abolitionist Politics, Freed Blacks, and a Flourishing Community in Quindaro, is now open. Follow the link to a page on the Freedom's Frontier website to find more information about registration, hotels and restaurants, speakers and other aspects of this symposium.

Please note that registration for the keynote speaker and the symposium sessions must be done separately:

Keynote Speaker: Dr. Quintard Taylor will be presenting the keynote address at 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at the Kansas City Public Library – Central Library (14 West 10th Street, Kansas City, Missouri, 64105).

Dr. Quintard Taylor is a specialist in African American history in the American West with over three decades of research and teaching experience in this field at a number of institutions of higher education.

Symposuim Sessions 
Many exciting speakers and presentations are scheduled for the symposium sessions on Friday, April 20 and Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Memorial Hall (600 North 7th Street Trafficway, Kansas City, Kansas, 66101). To register for the symposium sessions, please do any of the following:
  • Visit www.freedomsfrontier.org/pages/Quindaro_Symposium and click the “Registration” button, or
  • Complete a paper registration form at the Kansas City, Kansas Public Library – Main Branch (625 Minnesota Avenue, Kansas City, KS 66101), or
