Guided Bison Hike at Prairie State Park Dec. 7

JEFFERSON CITY, MO, NOV. 20, 2019 – Winter is here and the bison are well prepared for its biting wind and cold temperatures. We will brave those conditions to see the bison in their natural habitat. Join staff at Prairie State Park for a guided hike at 1 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 7, to see the bison and prairie in its full glory. Don’t forget your camera!

Be prepared for a 2-mile hike over uneven terrain. Bring water, snacks, a hat and sunscreen. Dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes. Binoculars will be useful for looking at bison as well as other wildlife that may be out and about. Please call 417-843-6711 to register for the hike.
