    Visit the Kansas Museum of History and join us for Homeschool Wednesdays, the first Wednesday of each month, September through May. Discover a new topic each month! Fourth grade through high school students can learn and explore primary and secondary sources with activities related to each topic. Cost is $5 per student, which includes Museum admission.     This pictorial exhibition tells the story of an estimated 100,000 slaves between 1830 and the end of the Civil War in 1865 who chose to embark on a journey in search of freedom. In conjunction with this Traveling Exhibition from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Wyandotte County Historical Museum will display artifacts found at the excavation of the Quindaro Township in Kansas City Kansas, an area believed to be an instrumental part of the Underground Railroad....details >>

    Fall Cemetery Tours

    Our Fall Cemetery Tours take place at the Olathe Memorial Cemetery. The theme is World War I veterans. Tours last approximately one hour. Tour times are: 7 p.m., 7:30 p.m., 8 p.m., & 8:30 p.m. (no 8:30 p.m. tour on Saturday) Each tour is limited to 30 participants. Please dress for the weather and there is a lot of walking. Please park on the south side of the parking lot at Northview Elementary School 905 N. Walker. Thursday night is Scout night....details >>
