    Bison Hike

    We will explore the prairie while learning about bison. Join us on our guided bison hike to see what the prairie has to offer this time of year. Don't forget your cameras! Be prepared for a two mile hike over uneven terrain. Bringing water, snacks, a hat and sunscreen, and wearing sturdy shoes is recommended. Binoculars will be useful in looking at bison as well as other wildlife that we may see. Dress for the weather....details >>

    Mahaffie Dinners

    Enjoy a meal in Mahaffie's 1865 house by lantern light. Check in at the Heritage Center, then ride by stagecoach to the historic house where you will be greeted by Mahaffie staff in 1860s clothing. Enjoy a hearty meal of stewed beef, mashed potatoes, breads, and winter preserves. Our farmer will take you to visit the animals after dinner. You will then retire to the parlor for games and music.
