    This Memorial Day weekend, bring your family to visit Fort Scott National Historic Site as we honor our nation’s fallen heroes. Experience sights, sounds, and smells of a frontier military fort. Celebrate the weekend with traditional living history programs, cooking demonstrations, and artillery firings.     Memorial Day Weekend Event

Watch and listen as the blacksmith uses fire and an anvil to transform iron into everyday objects, take a ride on a horse drawn carriage, hear the crack of rifles and the boom of artillery as soldiers demonstrate the use of small arms and artillery.
