    "Words Matter" Writing Workshop

    We have partnered with Emporia State University to host a Youth Writing Workshop. We are encouraging all youth to share their stories as we explore history. This is a three day event beginning on Wednesday June 6-8, from 9:00AM- 4:00PM on all three days. Grades 6-8 will meet from 9:00 A.M.-12 P.M.Grades 9-12 will meet from 1-4:00 P.M. Workshop Fee is $10 and includes: journal, pen, snacks. A fee waiver will be considered if a written response accompanies registration....details >>

    Art in Focus: Drawn in Time, Michael Krueger

    Growing up in South Dakota, Michael Krueger was drawn to the history and lore of the west and the Plains. That interest is reflected in his artwork. Krueger, who has taught at the University of Kansas in the Department of Visual Art since 1995, discusses his works, and the research that informs their historical references.
