Johnson County Museum invites you to explore the community's history and heritage. The museum offers innovative, engaging, and challenging programs that will inspire of all ages to discover a sense of place and spark excitement about history.

The museum offers long-term and changing exhibits, the children's history experience KidScape, field trips, homeschool, youth and scout programs, lectures, special events, birthday party packages, rental space and a wide variety of online research tools. There are two locations: the history museum inside the Johnson County Arts & Heritage Center in Overland Park and the Lanesfield Historic Site in Edgerton, Kansas.

The museum's historic collections include more than one million photographs, 20,000 3-D artifacts, and 300 cubic feet of archival material.

Guided tours of the signature exhibition, "Becoming Johnson County", are available daily. For a private guided tour for your group or club, call (913) 715-2570 to make a reservation.

In 2017, the Johnson County Museum served over 50,000 visitors onsite and nearly 100,000 people through online resources available at www.JoCoHistory.org.
