    Oak Hill Cemetery Spring Cleanup

    The Friends of Oak Hill will be hosting an Earth Day spring cleanup at Oak Hill. We will be focusing our efforts on cleaning up the general areas around several historically significant monuments and on picking up large sticks and tree limbs throughout the cemetery. Parks and Rec officials say that stick pick up is very helpful before mowing season begins and in preparation for Memorial Day. We will plan to meet at the front gates of Oak Hill....details >>

    Rendezvous in Council Grove

    This event will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the National Trails System Act by the U.S. Congress which led to the creation of the Santa Fe National Historic Trail. Bringing together various groups with activities and programs related to the trail, including a focus on historical events of the trail, as well as modern efforts to preserve Santa Fe Trail history, including the 8th Kansas Infantry enlistment effort.
