    Kansas Riverkings Guided Walking Tour and Coffee Discussion

    Kansas Riverkings Museum exhibition provides guided walking tours. Education director, Barbara Higgins-Dover leads a journey into the past when 19th century rivermen worked the waters and sold what they caught to a hungry community. The 40 minute tour includes information about the Riverkings, their fishing cabins and equipment, how they marketed their catch, and the way they lived along the river.     Tonganoxie Community Historical Society Tour of Ghost Towns in Southern Leavenworth County

    The tour will last three hours, with one stop at the Boling Grange Hall for refreshments about half way through the tour. The general area of focus will be north of 24-40, east of the Jefferson County line, south of Stranger Road, and east of 171st Street. This will be an afternoon of historical tales of railroads and towns. Narrators for the trip will be Perry Walters, Virginia Seymour, and Carrie Ritchey.
