Speakeasy – Women of the 1920s

Sip a Prohibition cocktail and sample light, 1920s style hors d’oeuvres as we hear about three 1920s American women who altered the history of their professions. Zora Neale Hurston was a writer during the Harlem Renaissance, best known for her contributions to African American literature. Georgia O’Keefe is recognized as the Mother of American Modernism, and Florence Sabin was a pioneer for women in science.
