Join in with Voice of Freedom in celebration of the 63rd anniversary (May 17, 1954) of the Brown vs. Board of Education decision by the U.S. Supreme Court, which ended "separate but equal" in public schools and led to the desegregation of America. This is a music festival with spoken word performances, oral histories and more, Voices of Freedom begins at 2 p.m. on Kansas Avenue in Downtown Topeka with folk, blues, gospel and rock, interspersed with poetry and other readings.
