Battlefield Tour with John Brown and His Free State Militia

Kerry Altenbernd - named a notable Kansan for portraying John Brown - assisted by the 13th Kansas Infantry Regiment reenactor group, serving as the civilian Free State militia, and a few proslavery men too, provides a battlefield tour. Black Jack Battlefield is the site of Brown's attack on a pro-slavery militia led by Henry Clay Pate June 2, 1856. Reenactors will be camping on site; come early and visit with them. Check our calendar for other Civil War on the Western Frontier events this week.
