Migration and Refugees, Past and Present

The Watkins Museum brings historic and contemporary issues together in this special Final Friday program. Local historian Cindy Higgins and Douglas County Heritage Coordinator, Jan Shupert-Arick will discuss migration into Douglas County. They will unveil a traveling exhibit on migration that was funded by FFNHA and the Kansas Humanities Council. The second part of the program will feature Ann L. Say of Once We Were Refugees to discuss her organization's work on behalf of current-day refugees.
