Migration and Refugees, Past and Present

The Watkins brings historic and contemporary issues together in this special Final Friday program. At 7 p.m, local researcher Cindy Higgins and Douglas County Heritage Coordinator Jan Shupert-Arick discuss migration into our region and unveil a new traveling exhibit on the subject. The project was funded by Humanities Kansas and Freedom's Frontier National Heritage Area. At 8 p.m., Ann L. Say of Once We Were Refugees will discuss her organization's work on behalf of current refugees.
