The Great Migration

Students from Liberty High School and William Jewell College, and senior citizens from the Palestine Community Center of Kansas City, Missouri, are part of a discussion on the impact of The Great Migration on American Society. The Great Migration is the name given to the migration of some six million African Americans from the South to the North (1916-1970) in search of better jobs and freedom from discrimination and racist ideologies used to justify oppression and violence.
