Museum After Hours - Politics on the Platform: Woman Suffrage at the Chautauqua By Sarah Bell

This presentation will examine how women engaged in political activism at the Chautauqua, particularly suffrage and temperance, and how this early movement laid the groundwork for contemporary issues of feminism and gender equality. The League of Women Voters will host a voter registration booth from 5 until 6:30 p.m., while the Kansas Museum of History is open for half price admission. The Museum Store is also open until 6:30 p.m.
