Students will explore several types of shelter built by Native Americans from long ago. All of these structures were made of natural resources, each were built to meet the needs of people’s daily lives. In the classroom students can see a small tipi and then step inside the Museum’s full-sized tipi for a different perspective on history. Students use primary and secondary sources to explore different topics each month. Designed for students from fourth grade through high school.
