International Underground Railroad Month - September 2021

September is International Underground Railroad Month in Kansas and Missouri, and among indigenous peoples in Kansas, thanks to the proclamations of the Governor Laura Kelly of Kansas, Governor Mike Parson of Missouri, and the council of the Wyandot Nation of Kansas.

Freedom’s Frontier National Heritage Area (FFNHA) can help you explore the important stories of the underground railroad in Kansas and Missouri via tours on FFNHA APP and video profiles of underground railroad sites on FFNHA YouTube channel. Download the Freedom’s Frontier APP to your mobile phone at the Google Play Store or the Apple APP Store.
