Freedom's Frontier National Heritage Area officially became a heritage area on October 12, 2006, when then President George W. Bush signed our bill into law. Now we're turning 10, and celebrating our first 10 Years of Raising the Banner for Freedom with a series of programs. Since heritage areas are affiliates of the National Park Service, we'll be working with our park service friends to help celebration the 100th anniversary of our national parks too!
Check this page often for the most updated information, and plan to celebrate with us! We'll kick off our celebration with a Johnson County Library Second Saturdays event.
Saturday, January 9 - 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
