Federal funding for Freedom's Frontier is at risk. The president's budget eliminates funding for many federal programs--including the Heritage Partnership Program, which funds National Heritage Areas. Please show your support for Freedom's Frontier by asking your Congressperson and Senators to support stable funding for the Heritage Partnership Program.

Additionally, H.R. 1002 would establish a National Heritage Area program within the National Park Service. This bill would benefit Freedom's Frontier in a number of ways. Currently, Congresswoman Jenkins and Congressman Marshall have signed onto this bill as co-sponsors. Please encourage your Congressperson to join H.R. 1002 as a co-sponsor.

Below are some tips that can assist you in your advocacy.

  • Don't know who to call? Here is a chart that can help you identify your Congressperson and find their contact information. You can also use this website to look up your Congressperson.
  • Make three phone calls, one to your member of Congress and one to each of your Senators. You can call the U.S. Capitol switchboard at 202-224-3121 and ask to be connected to the appropriate office for your federal representatives. (You can also find direct office numbers in the links below.) When you call your Congressperson and Senators, let them know that you appreciate the work of Freedom's Frontier National Heritage Area and you want them to support robust funding for the Heritage Partnership Program.
  • Write an email to the same two Senators and your member of Congress. Click on your Representative's / Senators' names below to go directly to their "connect with me" page on their website. From there you can send an email. Send them the same message as you gave them on the phone: let them know that you appreciate the work of Freedom's Frontier National Heritage Area and you want them to support robust funding for the Heritage Partnership Program.
