Freedom’s Frontier National Heritage Area (FFNHA) is a federally funded nonprofit organization and affiliate of the National Park Service dedicated to building awareness of the struggle for freedom along the Missouri-Kansas border. Established by Congress in 2006, its nationally significant themes are the settlement of the frontier, the Missouri-Kansas Border War and Civil War, and the enduring struggle for freedom. We achieve our goals, via partnerships with museums, historical societies, and heritage sites, through interpretation, preservation, conservation, and education for all residents and visitors.

Job Description: As an Administrative Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the smooth operation of our organization. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting with administrative tasks, managing financial records using accounting software, and utilizing Excel for data analysis and reporting.
Freedom’s Frontier National Heritage Area (FFNHA) builds awareness of struggles for freedom in western Missouri and eastern Kansas. FFNHA inspires respect for multiple perspectives and empowers area residents to preserve and share these stories, achieving its goals through interpretation, preservation, conservation, and education for all residents and visitors. It is one of 62 federally recognized National Heritage Areas across the United States.
