Giving Tuesday

By Freedom's Frontier

NEWS — DEC 3, 2024 (UPDATED DEC 4, 8:30 A.M. CST)

Yesterday, widespread disruptions struck the Give Lively donation platform, nearly collapsing the service and preventing donors from contributing to nonprofits and charities throughout the United States, including Freedom’s Frontier NHA.

Given the outage’s scale and timing, we are extending our Giving Tuesday matching campaign through Wednesday, December 4th. Thank you for your patience and generosity.

This Giving Tuesday, preserve the history of the Missouri-Kansas border and our nation’s heritage. Your donation will fund education grants, school field trips, and history programs for our region’s K-12 students as they visit museums and partner sites across Freedom’s Frontier.

And today, your generosity will go twice as far.

Thanks to our incredible community of supporters, we have a matching gift opportunity — every dollar you donate on Tuesday, December 3rd and Wednesday, December 4th  will be doubled up to $2,500.

  • $50 becomes $100, helping us provide expert assistance to small museums.
  • $100 becomes $200, enabling us to support and implement important projects at local history organizations.
  • $250 becomes $500, which helps fund field trips for K-12 students in Kansas and Missouri.

Double your contribution and help substantively fund education, tourism, and economic development throughout our 41 counties.

Every gift, no matter the size, will help us continue our important work and ensure our heritage stays vital for generations to come. Donate now to double your impact!

Thank you for your continued support of Freedom’s Frontier National Heritage Area.

Freedom’s Frontier National Heritage Area (FFNHA) builds awareness of struggles for freedom in western Missouri and eastern Kansas. Established by Congress in 2006, FFNHA covers a unique physical and cultural landscape across 41 counties and 31,000 square miles. It promotes three diverse, interwoven, and nationally significant stories: frontier settlement, the Missouri-Kansas Border War and Civil War, and enduring civil rights disputes. FFNHA inspires respect for multiple perspectives and empowers area residents to preserve and share these stories, achieving its goals through interpretation, preservation, conservation, and education for all residents and visitors. It is one of 62 federally recognized National Heritage Areas across the United States.
